Migration Birdcast for the Florida Keys 11/1/2021:

November 1st and migration still going strong! Many warblers in my yard this morning, and hearing and seeing lots of activity still in the skies and trees. I can hear the indigo buntings still, but can't seem to get any pics yet. Raptors also soaring this morning. Seen quite a few birds this year that I have never seen before as well like a Least Flycatcher, and Bay Breasted Warbler. By this time normally many birds have usually come and gone and migration starts to really slow down, but this year birds seem to have waited a bit longer to migrate. Worked out well for me since i was sick through August and September and missed out on those months lol. Today is still a great day to see migrating birds! Expect the scissor tailed flycatcher, and tropical kingbirds to be here at lucky hammock/southern glades area near the everglades entrance by now or any day now!
