Why are the Florida Keys a Birding Paradise?
The Florida Keys is a host to a variety of different residential, shorebirds, oceanic, and migratory birds due to it being right along a major migration route, being surrounded by ocean, and much of the land is not overdeveloped so it offers a natural haven for birds to rest, thrive, and refuel. The temperate climate promises no snow EVER, and we generally stay between 60 and 80 degree year round. During Fall, Winter, and Spring you will find a whole host of birds from all over the US and South America. In the Summer you will find oceanic, wading birds, Caribbean birds, and resident year round birds.
